Heart Disease, Stroke and other Cardiovascular Diseases

Every year cardiovascular disease causes 3.9 million deaths in Europe and over 1.8 million deaths in European union CVD account for 45%of all deaths in Europe and 37% of all deaths in EU. Deaths from both ischaemic heart disease and stoke are generally higher in central and east Europe then in southern , northern and western Europe. CVDS are a number 1 causes of death globally.  More die annually from CVD from any others causes any estimated 17.9 million people died from CVDS in 2016 representing 31%of all global death Of these deaths, 85% are due heart attack and stroke. More than 42 million women are currently living with some of cardiovascular disease. More than 8 million women have a history of heart attack and angina.  Globally , about 2% of deaths are from cardiovascular disease is related to rheumatic heart disease.   In a 2005 survey, most respondent 92% recognized chest pain as a symptom of heart disease.

 

Coronary heart disease is most common type of heart disease .In 2008,  405,309 people died from coronary heart disease . About 6.2 million American  adults  had heart failure  in 2013-2016 . Patients  who were newly hospitalized for heart failure were almost divided by ejection  fraction and those with preserved ejection fraction. More than 159,000 women die each year of congestive heart failure , accounting for 56.3% of heart failure deaths.  In 2012 , when assessed by country , the prevalence of diagnosed diabetes was estimated to range from 5.6% to 20.4% . On the basis of national health and nutrition  examination survey data from 2001- 2012, the prevalence of metabolic syndrome was higher among females  than males and increased with advancing age to >44% to those 60 years and old. In the united states in 2019 , coronary events  are excepted  to occur in about 1,055,000 individuals , including 720,000 new and 335,000 recurrent  coronary events.
